Property Administrator - New York
Stellar Management is looking for a Property Administrator for one of our commercial properties in New York.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assistant to the Property Manager on a day-to-day basis with the administration, management and operations of the property with particular emphasis on administrative tasks and addressing tenant complaints as well as the needs of the property. Assists Property Manager in overseeing staff and overall functioning of the property.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Property Manager in addressing the needs of the property
- Assist in resolving all tenant complaints and violations in a timely manner
- Prepare paperwork with respect to tenant accounts; monitor and handle late payments, collections, evictions, and tenant move-ins and move-outs
- Prepare correspondence and notices and meets with tenants
- Monitor lease expirations and distribution of rent bills
- Order materials and supplies for the properties
- Arrange for repair and maintenance of property facilities and fixtures
- Process check requests and invoices and Property Manager’s expense reimbursement
- Filing, copying, faxing, scanning and other administrative office tasks
- Schedule appointments for repairs and for meetings with Property Manager
- Such other tasks or assignments as may be required by management
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to engage in telephone communications in a professional manner
- Ability to use and understand Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to write and communicate effectively
- Knowledge of basic office machine systems such as copy machines, fax machines, scanners
- Strong math skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Some knowledge of the Yardi program preferred
- Ability to function effectively in a customer service environment
Credentials And Experience:
High school diploma required, some college preferred. Experience in commercial real estate preferred.
