Paid Intern
POSITION SUMMARY:
Stellar Management, Ltd., a leader in the ownership and management of residential and commercial real estate, seeks highly motivated undergraduate or graduate school students for its intern program. The program will provide students with hands-on experience in a variety of aspects of the real estate business.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in a number of different projects and management functions such as:
- Participation in all aspects of the real estate investment process including financial analysis, financing, market analysis, due diligence, and asset management
- Analyze potential acquisition and development opportunities using sophisticated modeling techniques and creative structuring
- Financial statement and commercial lease analysis
- Rate of return analysis
- Participate in transaction due diligence and project meetings
- Assemble debt and equity solicitation packages
- Assist in the preparation of budgets
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management
- Conduct market research
- Compile key property level information to assess the portfolio’s performance
- Research best practices in real estate asset management to drive efficient operations
- Help develop, perform and evaluate complex financial analysis and research in conjunction with property level senior and subordinated debt and equity financing
- Participate in the preparation of proposals and presentations
- Conduct property level financial analysis, valuation and due diligence
- Coordinate work with vendors
- Overall support of company principals in the implementation of our investment strategies and evaluation of potential real estate investments
- Tracking investment performance, returns and forecasts
- Participating in monthly and quarterly reporting to partners and to the firm principals including evaluation and overview of existing assets
CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:
Stellar is seeking intern candidates that have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and have a strong work ethic and interest in real estate. A strong understanding of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is helpful.
