Enclave Silver Spring to Host Major "National Night Out" Event
Silver Spring, MD (July 7, 2008) – A popular Montgomery County apartment community expects 1,000 children and families to participate in the 25th Annual National Night Out at its prominent Silver Spring location. On August 5 from six to nine p.m. Enclave Silver Spring is teaming with county officials to welcome the entire community to the annual family safety and crime prevention event.
Enclave Silver Spring will open its swimming pool complex to the community, and provide free refreshments and entertainment. Together with the Eastern Montgomery County Regional Services Center, Montgomery County Police and the Montgomery County Department of Recreation, Enclave Silver Spring will also stage a variety of demonstrations and public safety exhibits on its grounds.
“We’re happy to host Eastern Montgomery County’s first large National Night Out event,” said J’aime J. Huret, general manager at Enclave Silver Spring, “It’s a great opportunity for neighbors to meet, have fun and learn about creating safer communities.”
In addition to the pool, Huret said Enclave Silver Spring will provide free hot dogs, sodas and other refreshments, along with a DJ, music, games and face painting. Exhibits will include finger printing, photo ID cards, the Fire Safety House, a 911 simulator, bike registration, car seat checks, and possibly the Park Police’s horse or helicopter. Other activities include crafts, coloring, the bookmobile, Humane Society pet adoptions, free balloons, whistles and balls.
