2016 Women in Real Estate: Amanda Gluck

June 22 / 2016
Name: Amanda Gluck
Title: Director of Marketing and Public Relations
Company Name: Stellar Management
Years in real estate: 1

How did you get your start in real estate?

While I technically started working in real estate a year ago, I grew up in the business since my father has been in the real estate throughout his career.

What real estate associations or organizations are you a member of?

UJA Real Estate Division

What recent project or transaction are you most proud of?

I’m really proud of the work Stellar is doing at One SoHo Square, which is located in one of the best areas of Manhattan right on the border of SoHo and Hudson Square. We are taking two historic printing buildings and adding a shared lobby, an all-access tenant roof deck and three gorgeous office penthouses with private terraces. This revitalization project will preserve two very special buildings while updating them with the infrastructure and amenities tenants require today, including efficient floorplates, 24/7 concierge, on-site storage, ample bicycle storage, a tenant-controlled HVAC system, and an online tenant service request system.

Who or what has been the strongest influence on your career and why?

My father, Laurence Gluck, has by far been the strongest influence on my career. I’ve learned so much from him as I watched him build Stellar Management throughout my life. Stellar has been in existence for over 30 years and I believe part of the reason for its success is that my father loves what he does and that is projected onto the business – the passion, curiosity and dedication that comes with loving your career will inevitably make you better at it.

What time management strategies do you find to be the most effective for you?

I come from the public relations world where time management is key. I’ve always found that coordinating my week ahead of time is the best way to get the most out of those precious seven days. Scheduling any meetings, dinners, etc. in advance allows for me to work backwards to ensure I have set aside enough time to get day-to-day tasks done in order of priority even if they come up unexpectedly, as is typical in the fast-paced world of real estate.
