City Summer Street 2017

Monday July 31, 2017
On Saturday, August 5, 12, and 19 nearly seven miles of New York City's streets will be opened up for everyone to play, run, walk and bike. Summer Streets provides space for healthy recreation and encourages New Yorkers to use more sustainable forms of transportation.

Summer Streets extends from the Brooklyn Bridge to Central Park, along Park Avenue and connecting streets, with easy access from all points in New York City, allowing participants to plan a trip as long or short as they wish. All activities at Summer Streets are free of charge and designed for people of all ages and ability levels to share the streets respectfully. You can water slide, soar through the air on a zip line, dance, get fit, immerse yourself in public art and architecture tours or just stroll along and experience the city's streets in a new way—all for free.
