Solar Eclipse - NYC

Solar Eclipse - NYC

Monday August 21, 2017
Today from 1:23 pm to 2:44 pm NYC will experience a partial solar eclipse. The moon will cover nearly 2/3 of the sun. The eclipse is said to last until 4 pm where the moon will make its path from the sun, and our skies will return to normal.

You will need special glasses as not to damage your eyes.

Viewing the eclipse should be easy in most parts of the city.  Many rooftop bars and parks will have a special event for today's showcase.  Be sure to watch it with a crowd; it will only intensify the event. Enjoy the eclipse this time round. We will not experience another one until 2021.
